Solid all-around strings. Even Hilary Hahn uses them on her Vuillaume. Perlman on his Strad, etc. Decent tension They are very neutral strings reflecting the instruments genuine sound, so it's actually good to put them on any instrument to get an idea what areas the fiddle is good for and what needs adjustment by a luthier.

I have been using these strings for many years on the advice of my senior colleague from Chicago Symphony,
and I recommend them to both, professionals and students.
Good value for money for the middle class of violin. Although, I use the E string by Wensminster.
I replace them approximately once a year when I play a few hours a day on the instrument.
This is a very good choice!
The aluminum winded E string seems ok. May be easier on the fingers.
