Cours de violon

Liuba is an experienced violin teacher and performer who has been teaching students in Canada for more than 15 years. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in violin performance and pedagogy from Tashkent State Musical College and a Master’s Degree in Art History from Moscow State University of Culture.

For Liuba, learning the violin is about more than preparing for exams or learning to play the right notes. She wants her students to understand and enjoy the music, develop good musical habits, and gain confidence as they progress. Her lessons combine violin technique with music theory and the history behind the music, giving students a broader understanding of what they are playing.

Liuba has a warm and encouraging approach to teaching, and her sense of humor helps make even challenging pieces feel approachable. She works with each student according to their age, experience, and goals, while encouraging them to take pride in their progress and enjoy making music.

She has extensive experience preparing students for RCM examinations, with many achieving excellent results. Her students have also received numerous awards at competitions and festivals, including the North York Music Festival and Kiwanis Music Festival.

For some students, violin lessons become the beginning of a lifelong relationship with music. Several of Liuba’s former students have gone on to pursue music professionally and are now studying at universities and music programs across Canada.
