Hidersine Hiderpaste is a traditional peg compound designed to help violin, viola, and cello pegs turn smoothly while maintaining a secure grip. Developed by Hidersine in the mid-20th century, this trusted formulation helps solve two common peg problems at once: sticking pegs that are difficult to turn and pegs that slip and refuse to hold pitch.

Changes in temperature and humidity can affect how wooden pegs fit in the pegbox. When pegs become too tight, tuning can be frustrating. When they slip, keeping the instrument in tune becomes difficult. Hiderpaste helps restore the proper balance between grip and movement, making tuning easier and more reliable.

How to use:

1. Remove the peg from the pegbox.
2. Rub the paste 3 or 4 times onto the two areas of the peg shaft that contact the inside of the pegbox.
3. Reinsert the peg and turn it several times to distribute the paste evenly.
4. Reinstall the string and tune as normal.
