A German-made violin dating from approximately 1920–1930, made after the 1736 model of Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesù of Cremona.
The violin bears a label reading:
Joseph Guarnerius fecit Cremonae anno 1736
The label refers to the original Guarneri del Gesù model and does not indicate that this violin was made by Giuseppe Guarneri himself. This instrument is a German copy of the 1736 Guarneri del Gesù model.
